MPO Council Conference

Each year, staff from all of the Indiana MPOs, along with employees from the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, local governments, and other interested agency staff and citizens gather for three days to share ideas regarding transportation and planning.  The Indiana MPOs take turns hosting this event and sharing their hometowns with others from throughout the state.  

2002 Conference
The 2002 MPO Council Conference was held in Terre Haute September 25th and 26th.  Topics of discussion included:

Transportation Enhancement Funding
Historic Transportation Facilities
S.R. 641 - Design and Management
Intelligent Transportation Systems
Environmental Justice/Public Involvement
Programming Issues
Census Transportation Planning Package

 

INDOT Commissioner Bryan Nicol addressed the Conference attendees at lunch on Wednesday.
Frank Kleptz offered a rare look at his private automobile and memorabilia collection in his Gallery of Legends located in Terre Haute.
Dr. Samuel Hulbert welcomes MPOs to Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.  Beside Dr. Hulbert is State Senator and Mrs. Blade and Elder and Mrs. Blade.
